Egon Franz Weber, 81, passed away on October 10, 2019. Egon was born in Wasseralfingen, Germany, on October 14, 1937, to Carolina and Xavier Weber. He moved to the United States when he was 21. It was here that he met Christine, his beloved wife, to whom he was married for 55 years. Egon is the proud father of Karen (Andrew) LaPorte, Bruce (Allyson) Weber, and Diane (Paul) Kilbride. He is also grandfather to Joshua (Katie), Matthew, and Christopher and great-grandfather to Emma and Ella. He was predeceased by his grandson, Timothy. Egon will be remembered for his love of soccer, camping, being outdoors, and going to local parks and Oktoberfests. He loved that his children enjoyed being with him and going on family vacations. The family will receive guests at Dorsey-Carlone Funeral Home on Sunday, October 13, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Columbanus Church on Monday, October 14, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Cure SMA (www.curesma.org) or St. Jude’s (www.stjude.org).
