Brian Gilmartin

January 7, 1959 - January 30, 2022

BRIAN GILMARTIN, 63, a lifetime resident of Peekskill, passed peacefully on January 30, 2022. Brian will forever be remembered for his love of taking photos of his nieces and nephews. You could always count on Brian to be at a special life event with his camera bag ready to go! He was ready to take numerous pictures and could often be heard saying, “Just one more picture. Say cheese!” We will forever cherish all of the family pictures we have from Brian’s camera. He enjoyed his usual orders at Flory’s and Carvel. He loved watching classic movies and television shows along with listening to music, especially Elvis Presley. He collected a lot of Elvis memorabilia and was always eager to share about his trip to Graceland years ago. He will always be remembered in Peekskill and Fishkill for making conversation with anyone he met in the community. Brian is the beloved son of Anna (Maureen) Gilmartin. He was predeceased by Gerald Gilmartin, Sr. (father), Brendan (brother), Kelly Anne (niece), Audra (grandniece), and Kellen and Andrew (grandnephews). He is survived by his brothers, Kevin (Judi), Tim (Beth), Gerry (Linda),Tom (Marge), sister in law Gloria. He loved all of his nieces and nephews, Kevin (Traci), Shannon (Whitt), Lauren, Kristen (Trey), Kerianne, Danielle (Jeff), Brendan Michael(Lili), Stephanie (Rob), Michael (Lauren), Nicole (Mike), Brittany. He also had grand nieces and nephews, Rylan, Shawn Caroline, Savannah, Whitten, Christian, Mason, Caiden, Brendan, Aubrey, and Kevin. Brian is a long time survivor of Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. In lieu of flowers, donations in Brian’s name to the American Cancer Society or Lymphoma Research Foundation are appreciated.
